These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of HanRead (the "Service"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

HanRead is a Chinese reading and learning application that provides reading texts, AI-generated grammar explanations and word comparisons, vocabulary tracking, flashcards, and social features such as friends and shared progress. Features may be added, changed, or removed at any time.

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your password secure.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

HanRead offers a Free plan and a paid Starter plan with additional features or usage limits. Paid plans are billed as described at the time of purchase. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change plan pricing or features going forward, with notice provided within the Service.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including through excessive automated requests.
• Reproduce, resell, or scrape the Service's content or features without permission.
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users through the friends or social features.

Grammar explanations, translations, and word comparisons in the Service are generated using AI and third-party language and speech tools. This content is provided to support your learning and may occasionally be incomplete or inaccurate. You should not rely on it as a substitute for professional translation or advice.

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service (such as profile information or interests). By submitting content, you grant us a license to store, process, and display it as needed to operate the Service, including sharing it with friends you connect with, where applicable.

The Service, including its design, features, and underlying software, is owned by HanRead and its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service, with notice where reasonably possible.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HanRead shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
